  • In February 2024, The Mondi company stated that it would invest 1.2 billion in organic growth initiatives and that the project would drive innovation and growth of the company’s paper packaging business. The company also mentioned that they will invest around 80% by the end of this year, and they are currently paying attention to the modernization of the Kuopio mill, the project of the Świecie mill, and the two expanded box plants in Poland. 
  • In September 2024, JK Paper Limited aimed to boost production capacity by installing a new bleached chemical-thermomechanical pulp (BCTMP) line at its Fort Songadh mill in Gujarat, India. The new integration will increase the manufacturing ability of the company to produce lightweight coated boards and high-quality pulp. The project is scheduled in 2025.

  • In March 2024, TOPPAN Holdings Inc., in collaboration with India-based TOPPAN Speciality Films Private Limited (TSF), developed a barrier film, GL-SP, which used biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP). The company also focused on launching sales of barrier packaging for dry contents and focused in the American, European, Indian, and ASEAN market regions.
  • In June 2024, AeroFlexx, a full-service liquid packaging company in collaboration with Polish liquid concentrates supplier Chemipack launched an eco-friendly liquid packaging solution. The aim of the collaboration was to increase AeroFlexx’s global presence and to present eco-friendly packaging formats to the European market. Chemipack had five production lines that developed and filled 100 million liters of liquids every year.
  • In November 2022, Oji Holdings Corporation, a Japan-based company, had held its competitive position despite weaker demand for paper packaging and stated that it had perceived a trend that moved from plastic packaging to paper packaging due to forest resources and renewable materials.
