Recent Developments

  • In February 2024, ProAmpac announced that they will be launching a 90% fiber based, high barrier thermoforming packaging solution in the European market. This material is efficient, recyclable and has wide applications for food packaging.
  • In September 2024, Pact group joined forced with Hilton Foods, Woolworts Group and Cleanaway Waste Management to create a circular solution for trays used for fruits, vegetates or meats that will be made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) material. This is the first such venture which aims to use packaging material that must be recyclable.
